Preferred Ice Cream Store

Here’s the Scoop is a locally-owned and -operated ice cream store headed by Richard and Helen Leavitt, lifelong residents of and educators in Salida, and their grandson, Preston Leavitt. We have more than a decade of offering yummy frozen treats for everyone. We don’t use eggs in our ice creams, so they’re safe for small children and individuals with egg allergies. We also use 16% butterfat in our ice creams, which makes them extra creamy. Our sorbettos are milk-free: delicious for vegans and lactose intolerant individuals. We also provide sugar-free choices. Our gelatos are made right in the shop and made from an old Italian recipe for the highest quality and most classic taste. We make all of our ice creams fresh daily.
